Senior Structural Analyst Engineer

The R&D department at Raufoss is the Technical Center of Expertise within BU Couplings. The automotive business is in a tremendous innovation and development momentum. With a solid base of engineering excellence both in Norway and globally we will improve and extend existing product portfolio.

For this position we are seeking a Structural Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Our team is technical and design expert within Raufoss Couplings.
• As a team and individually, we are responsible for execution of projects according to valid routines, process, and standards.
• Execute CFD, material flow- and strength analysis.
• Execute leadership in simulation tasks in projects, secure that technical documentation (incl. specifications, 3D-models, analysis etc.) presented in projects are according to standards and “best practice”.
• Secure that working tools and processes are used and developed to secure high quality performance from the team, including continuous improvement of “best practice”

Main Challenges

• In this position you are the expert in your field and tasks.
• Product and design specialist including simulations within Raufoss Couplings.
• Ability to contribute with professional input and improvements.
• It is expected a high level of independency and ability to take responsibility, also taking a broader perspective sometimes.
• Long-term planning and thinking.
• Be analytic and a good problem solver.
• Able to prioritize work tasks, carrying out projects and tasks in a timely matter.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
• Technical education/competencies from other institutions, college, or university

Experience and knowledge:

• Genuine interest in simulations.
• Minimum 5 years technical experience from development and production tasks.
• Expert skills with design and simulation software and supporting tools the business is using.
• Detailed knowledge about CFD, FEM-analysis and FMEA.
• Experience with Abaqus and Moldflow are desired.
• Skills in 3D modelling.
• High level of knowledge about materials and manufacturing processes.
• High level of knowledge about the business quality routines, especially related to product development.

Special demands/Language skills:

• English – fluent verbal and written
• Norwegian/Scandinavian language skills are an advantage, willingness to learn the language.
