Do you want to join our team as a Technology Test Engineer ?

APL/NOV is looking to strengthen its team at our Technology center with a service engineer. The Technology center has modern well equipped facilities and a small but highly specialized team focusing testing of mechanical components and systems for our turret mooring systems, with a special focus on fluid swivel technology for high pressure (up to 1400 bar) and large dimensions (module weights up to 65 tonnes). The equipment to be tested are high value items combining large physical dimensions with a high degree of machining tolerances. High standards for cleanliness and proper careful handling are essential. The position involves responsibility for preparing, setting up and running qualification tests as well as assembly work and inspections.

The team works closely together with the engineering and service department and some travel and field work with installation, inspection and maintenance of swivel systems worldwide will be expected.

The applicant should have:

• Experience with or a degree in mechatronics
• Ability to work independently but also as part of a small team
• Ability to work with technical drawings, diagrams and procedures
• Knowledge and experience with mechanical assembly work
• Knowledge and experience with hydraulics
• Knowledge of PLC programming
• Norwegian language skills: fluent
• English language skills: proficient
