Projects are developed in partnership with experienced developers and EPC providers.

To strengthen our Projects team in Hydro REIN we are looking for a Project Control Manager with experience in large scale renewable projects, solar and wind. You will report to the Head of Project Development and Execution, and work closely with the Projects Control and technical experts in the rest of the Hydro organization, as well as the whole Hydro REIN team in Nordics and Brazil.

The position will be based either in the Nordics (liaising with the headquarters in Oslo), or in Brazil (our main office in Rio de Janeiro).

Main responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring that Hydro REIN’s projects are developed and delivered according to a robust and fit-for-purpose governance and processes and procedures. This involves leveraging the Hydro’s standards and toolkits and reviewing project partners’ procedures.

In each project, you will work with the specific projects team and stakeholders to manage schedule, cost, risks and document control.

Main activities will include:

• Establish and implement procedures, systems, tools and best practices
• Estimate and control cost (e.g. WBS/CBS structure, cost phasing, monitoring, forecasting and reporting)
• Scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting (incl. schedule risk analysis)
• Implement fit for purpose and action-oriented risk identification and management system
• Project reporting
• Implement/monitor document control processes and systems
• Support and advice the project team and the owners in project control activities, in particular in managing EPC contractors and suppliers

Desired qualifications

• Higher education, preferably Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Business, Finance)
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience from renewable energy, e.g. project control, document control, financial control, quality assurance advisor or auditor
• Significant work experience with large scale renewable power projects
• International experience, proven ability to lead international teams and function in a matrix organization
• Fluent in written and oral English. Norwegian and/or Portuguese are a benefit
• Ability to work extended hours and across time zones
