Nutritionist/Formulation Manager Warm Water species

What you can expect

As a skilled nutritionist, you will join a dynamic team that is focused on driving nutritional requirements and formulation opportunities within the warmwater aquaculture sector. In this important role, you will be required to take into account various aquaculture feed inputs, such as raw material quality, availability and prices, nutritional requirements, physical specifications, production limitations and logistical constraints.

You will understand nutritional concepts to an advanced level, and be able to use this knowledge to optimise products that maximise animal health and performance. You will also provide formulation services for product customisation, and support technical and marketing experts in product development.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the Warm Water Innovation Team, reporting to Skretting’s Innovation Director Warm Water Species, Anita Viga. The location of this position is the Skretting Division office in Stavanger, Norway.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensuring our focus on nutrition requirements and formulation opportunities within warmwater species’ life stages
• Monitor the main raw materials cost per Skretting Operating Company (OpCo) and create matrices for potential substitutes
• Seeking raw material and production opportunities (together with the marketing manager/product manager)
• Together with the marketing manager, drive and fulfil the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of products, take part in SOP audits, as well as follow-ups of eventual findings
• Offering first line support to Skretting OpCos in case of product reclamation (alongside the marketing manager and R&D team)
• Looking for cost saving opportunities, driving request and priorities (together with the marketing manager/product manager)

What you bring:

• Msc degree in Biology, Nutrition
• Experience in formulation, research and product development is an advantage 
• Competence within project management, innovation movement and change management is also an advantage 
• Fluent in English
