ALVA was founded to meet the growing global energy demand with renewable technologies. We develop electric generators for the production of clean energy and electric motors to convert this energy to motion. We are currently engaged in several international long-term projects and are now looking for a new Purchaser to join our team!

The position

We are looking for a professional with experience of technical procurement which will have the responsibility for all procurement and logistics activities. Our ideal candidate have experience and knowledge of both the procurement process of mechanical components and the suitable manufacturing methods for different types of components.

You will work jointly with both your internal team-members and our external partners to transform current low-rate prototype production process into high-rate series-production process. You are technically confident and able to understand both our core production technology and product technology to assure high quality levels and conformance to specifications.

You will have an impactful role in transforming current Alva technology into series-produced commercial products and build robust production capacity. Your efforts will thus contribute bring us into a industrialisation and commercialisation phase and continuously deliver a high level of customer value.

You will be a part of our great operational team which enables Alva to produce best-in-class products, based on FiberPrinting, for multiple exciting applications such as UAVs, Manned Aerial Vehicles, UUVs and heavy land-vehicles.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Identify and select suppliers for prototype- and volume-production
• Perform supplier audits
• Supplier negotiations
• Inventory control
• Cut product cost by supporting the engineering team to design components in a manufacture-friendly manner
• Request quotes from suppliers
• Create POs and place orders of off-the-shelf and custom components
• Quality control of incoming goods
• Marking of components
• Cost estimations and cost models of series produced Alva products
• Continuous improvement of procurement processes

Your key attributes:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Production & Industrial Management or Operations Management and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.
• Knowledge and experience of manufacturing methods of metallic components from prototyping to volume-production
• Experience of procuring "manufactured to drawing" metallic components
• Experience of quality control of mechanical components
