The role will be based in Farsund, Norway.
Duties and responsibilities
- A to Z handling of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Accept and quality control supplier deliveries.
- Ensure inventory records maintained.
- Optimize warehouse locations and maintain a high level of housekeeping to improve efficiency & safety.
- Perform periodical inventory count.
- Manage logistics operations.
- Manage cargo handling equipment.
- Track all cargo movements in the assigned region.
- Report and investigate any process deviation.
- Provide daily operational support regarding expected shipment and arrival dates by proactively monitoring shipments.
- Comply with applicable local legislation for shipping and storage of materials including export controlled and dangerous goods.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures & Standards.
- Actively demonstrate QHSE Leadership.
- Regularly monitor supplier QHSE performance.
- Ensure company's QHSE objectives are disseminated to all suppliers within scope.
- Manage QHSE Risk at the facility.
Qualifications
- College education or relevant technical field.
Experience: - Minimum 5 years’ experience within warehouse, logistics or seismic industry.
- Experience of working at supervisory level.
- Experience of working for a worldwide operator.
- Experience of managing contractors.
Personal qualities
- Ability to think strategically, analyze large amount and make quick decisions.
- Proficiency in Email, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills.
- Understanding of general logistics processes / local logistics rules and regulations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prepare and maintain routine records.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Maintain good working relationships, work as a team with supervisors and peers and 3rd party Contractors.
- Collaborate with various teams and organizations.
- Commitment to service quality and process improvement.
