The world needs clean hydrogen to meet the Paris Agreement. In Europe, more than 50% of the required CO2 reductions rely entirely on clean hydrogen as an energy carrier or as feedstock to industrial processes. We are looking to hire an experienced, knowledgeable and proactive Electrolysis Engineer who will become a key member of Aker Clean Hydrogen’s technical team and our expert on electrolysis.
You are a relevant candidate if you have extensive technical industry experience working with electrolysis and electrolysis units.
We are looking for hungry change-makers who excel at generating results and want to be part of growing and developing Aker Clean Hydrogen into the world’s most efficient hydrogen value chain integrator for industrial scale clean hydrogen. You should describe yourself as a solution-oriented technical leader driven by innovation and collaboration. Additionally, you should identify as a self-starter who understands the bigger picture and is energized by problem solving and complex decision-making.
The Role
The Electrolysis Engineer will report to our Chief Technology Officer, and will:
- Monitor and evaluate the latest technological developments within electrolysis units with a focus on technical maturity, cost, feasibility of use, efficiency and Aker Clean Hydrogen needs
- Network, engage and develop strong connections with technical peers and global electrolysis suppliers within the Hydrogen industry
- Supervise the activities of suppliers and engineering contractors related to the design of electrolysis units
- Ensure engineering documents are in accordance with client/partner requirements
- Perform tests for electrolysis units/technology on Aker Clean Hydrogen’s own installed units in the future
Do you have?
- A Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field
- More than 3-5 years’ industry experience in design or operation of electrolysis units with extensive water electrolysis knowledge (other than NaCl)
- Current experience within renewable power energy systems (which is beneficial but not essential)
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
