Statkraft is pursuing a growth strategy by expanding as wind and solar developer, optimising flexible hydropower, and developing our market operations. 

The business area Markets & IT is responsible for commercially optimising and developing Statkrafts flexible generation portfolio as well as providing market access, supporting investment decisions, and securing long-term value through global hedging strategies. In addition, M is corporate shared service provider for IT in Statkraft, enabling Statkraft to reach strategic and business targets by providing business/IT planning, IT services and projects. 

Statkraft business area Markets and IT (M) has ongoing a project to formalize and professionalize project management and portfolio management. Key target of the project is to develop a best practice project (PMO) and portfolio management (PPM) across M to be able to deliver desired outcomes of projects and line activities by introducing a common approach and aligning with established practices for reporting and reviews. 

Responsibilities of the M PMO (in brief): 

• Develop and maintain state-of-the-art project methodology for IT and M business projects  

• Document and make project methodology and templates accessible 

• Enable use of the methodology (academy, training courses, seminars, direct support etc.) 

• Project planning, management, and control for key projects 

• Support other project managers in running their projects in accordance with established methodologies and templates 

Responsibility of the M PMO, and the senior advisor, will be organized in the current project management unit in M (IT). The unit consists of 16 project managers who plan, manage, and deliver IT, business, organisation, culture, change and process-oriented projects. 

Your role: 

The M PMO Senior advisor will lead and manage successful implementation and develop service offerings from the M PMO as the use of project construct in the organisation matures. Initially priorities should focus on: 

• Simplify, revise, and mature the current project management methodologies and templates to be fit for purpose 

• Establish a M project management academy that provides the necessary training within key project management topics 

• Secure ease access to methodologies, templates, training materials etc 

• Play an active role in maturing project management and portfolio management in Statkraft 

To deliver on the priorities, the senior advisor will collaborate with project management resources and with resources in the rest of the M organisation. 

The role is designed as a senior advisor without staff responsibility and reports to head of the project management unit. 

Eventually free capacity will be directed towards project management roles. 

Your profile: 

We are looking for candidates that are high performing individuals with drive, high ethical standards and with a clear can do attitude. 

The right candidate has a deep interest, motivation and experience in project management methodologies and project management experience. You acknowledge the importance of change management and are motivated by collaborating with skilled colleagues developing the project management profession and the PMO function. 

Experience from establishing or developing the PMO function is a clear advantage. 

Strong communication capabilities and talent for building network and trusted relationship is a necessity. 

You have higher education at university level or equivalent and speak English fluently. Scandinavian or German language is considered as an advantage.
