FREYR’s mission is to accelerate the decarbonization of all transportation and energy systems by delivering the world’s cleanest and most cost-effective batteries. Freyr will be one of Norway's fastest growing organisations. We are growing into a workforce of over 1500 in two to three years' time. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for candidates who want to be part the first battery cell factory in Norway.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Controller will be responsible for planning and coordinating budget and business planning activities in alignment with company policies and practices. The Controller will provide financial direction to plant managers in Mo i Rana, including recommendations to improve site performance.

Main tasks

• Prepare financial forecasts
• Manage periodic closing for invoicing
• Prepare financial statements and other operational reports
• Ensure compliance to established rules for procurement, cost structure and invoice approval
• Follow up on suppliers, including compliance to invoicing standards
• Proactively support and advise on issues relating to invoicing
• Implement and monitor control measures to ensure integrity, safeguard company assets and control for risks

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Experience from working with invoicing and cost control from a large company/industrial experience
• Experience of SAP
• Good working knowledge of regulatory compliance in Norway

ADVANTAGEOUS
Experience in a production / process industry environment
Familiar with US GAAP / SEC

• High level of integrity
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to present complex financial information to a range of stakeholders in English
• A proactive and pragmatic approach to solving business and financial challenges
• Self-driven with the ability to perform well both individually and in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
• Excellent knowledge of current financial practices in process industry
• Ability to analyse and act upon complex financial data
• Good planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
• Good digital competence and proficient in standard Microsoft 365 applications
