We are looking for a person to join us in developing and scaling digital services within the energy markets.

ABB holds a unique position in the ongoing energy transition with our domain competencies of automation, digitalization, and electrification. The candidate will get creative freedom to build business opportunities, developing and realizing new business models and lean, data-driven concepts for on-boarding new customers and transforming with existing ones.


You will be part of a sales and business development team covering several domain areas and industries, and you will report to Head of Sales and Business Development, Digital Services.


Main objectives:

You will have a key role in understanding the markets, the customer needs and propose solutions that can scale either directly or through technical experts. You will cooperate with a variety of business areas and people, both internally in ABB and externally with customers and partners.

The following tasks have been identified; however, the right person will get the mandate to create his/her own agenda in the role:

  • Develop winning tactics and strategies for Digital services
  • Secure first orders of digital services in new markets, and work to scale these.
  • Develop go-to-market strategy and material for Digital Services
  • Manage a set of customer opportunities
  • Speak with customers, understand the different markets, be curious and learn


It would be good if you have:

  • Relevant M.Sc. degree (i.e. Industrial Economics, Entrepreneurship, Business School, Energy, etc.)
  • 2-5 years relevant work experience
  • Fluency in Norwegian (Scandinavian) and English
  • High ethical standards


It would be even better if you have:

  • A general understanding of:

· Energy industries, oil and gas, offshore wind, hydro power, hydrogen, batteries

· Digital technologies, software, cloud etc

  • Experience with:

· Business model transformation

· SaaS and/or other digital business models

· Commercial disciplines, sales, business development, consultancy, marketing etc.

· Lean start-up methodology
