Are you our new UX strategist?

itslearning is Europe’s largest provider of learning management systems for schools and universities. Our mission is to help all students reach their full potential. We are currently looking for a UX strategist to help the organisation deliver more impactful designs.

As a team member you will work closely with designers, UX researchers, product owners, and developers to create innovative learning solutions used by millions of people. You'll be central in our ongoing effort to establish a leading human-centered design practice.

What will you do

• Put people first: We want you to meet users as often as you can to ensure our choices are based on a consideration for them.
• Shape our practices: Develop the practices, frameworks and tools needed to deliver world class teaching and learning experiences.
• Implement our UX strategy: Shape and inform our vision and strategic direction.
• Surface the experience: Apply and evolve our USE framework to benchmark and map the current user experience and ensure everyone knows the experience gaps and opportunities.
• Plant the flag for UX: Help the teams tell a compelling story of how our work will lead to great outcomes for students and teachers.
• Empower teams to deliver: Instil collaborative practices and facilitate activities that help our teams frame and solve complex problems.
• Influence the wider org: Accelerate our ongoing journey towards becoming truly human-centered.

Who you are

You have a strong understanding of design at all levels (society/organisation/product/UI). Whether you're a service designer, lead designer, researcher or something completely different, you are:

• Curious: You are a lifelong learner. You know there's not one right way to do things, and you constantly look for opportunities to improve.
• Passionate: You care deeply about people and have a drive to change things for better.
• Thoughtful: You are a systems thinker who can apply and design models to make sense of and communicate complex situations. You understand the ethical responsibility that comes with shaping tools that shape people's lives.
• Humble: You know well that your journey is far from complete and that you don't have all the answers. You care more about shipping what works than shipping your idea.
• Inspirational: You communicate clearly and persuasively to with everyone from team members to executives.
