FREYR is planning to develop over 40 GWh of battery cell production capacity by 2025 to take a position as one of Europe’s largest cell suppliers. This is the equivalent of a turnover of more than 40 billion kroner. Our factories are to be located in the Mo i Rana industrial complex in Northern Norway, leveraging Norway’s highly skilled workforce and abundant, low-cost renewable energy sources in a crisp, clear and energized environment. Corporate headquarters are located in the Oslo area.

The company will supply sustainably produced, cost competitive battery cells to the rapidly growing market for electric vehicles and energy storage in Europe and globally. We will also develop other markets in marine transportation, aviation and offshore oil.

Freyr AS is hiring a Construction Manager

We are looking for candidates who want to be part of building the first battery cell factories in Norway.
The person who takes on this role will follow up and be responsible for the building project on site for Freyr.
You will be part of the Freyr project team responsible for building factories in Mo.

Freyr plans to build several factories in Mo i Rana. When the building phase of the first factory is finished, it will be possible for the candidate to continue in a new project or join Freyr's operating organization as a key personnel.

JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for and follow up contractor and their scope of work for Freyr to maintain progress and to deliver within agreed frames. You will also be responsible for the rest of the Freyr B&I team on site. In the role you will be following up contract work, progress, HSE, technical issues and solve these together with the rest of the team.

Main tasks include:

• Responsible for managing and following up contractors on building site
• Responsible for following up contract(s) towards contractors
• Responsible for following up progress and quality
• Responsible for following up on HSE
• Close co-operation with the other Engineering managers in other packages

The Construction Manager is reporting to Project Director

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

• Masters or Bachelors degree
• Minimum 5 years experience in equal role
• Fluent Norwegian and English spoken and written

Advantagous:

• Good knowledge of all types of construction work
• Experience from either construction company or consultant company
• Experience with NS and NTK contract format
• Experience from building factories

WHAT WE OFFER
