FREYR is planning to develop over 40 GWh of battery cell production capacity by 2025 to take a position as one of Europe’s largest cell suppliers. This is the equivalent of a turnover of more than 40 billion kroner. Our factories are to be located in the Mo i Rana industrial complex in Northern Norway, leveraging Norway’s highly skilled workforce and abundant, low-cost renewable energy sources in a crisp, clear and energized environment. Corporate headquarters are located in the Oslo area.

The company will supply sustainably produced, cost competitive battery cells to the rapidly growing market for electric vehicles and energy storage in Europe and globally. We will also develop other markets in marine transportation, aviation and offshore oil.

Freyr AS are hiring Projects Contracts Advisors

A Projects Contracts Adviser is required to develop strategies, tender, negotiate, award and manage contracts to deliver Freyr Pilot and Fast Track Project.
Responsible for the Delivery of contract packages in line with the project requirements. Management of the procurement process, compliance with contractual terms and provide commercial management of EPC & Major Capital Projects contracts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Comply with procurement procedures
  • Offer Compliance and Governance Support to Department (Project Director & Operations)
  • Management of Contracting and Tendering Systems and ERP System

Establish Contract strategies

  • Collects input from technical, Compliance, Local Content, Legal and HSSE
  • Develop a strong and robust assessment of the supply market
  • Develop a strategy that meets the goals of the company

Prepare Pre-Qualifications

  • Develop a prequalification to establish an appropriate bidders list
  • Screen for compliance issues

Prepare ITT Packages

  • Work with the technical resources to develop an appropriate scope of work
  • Work with the technical resources to develop an appropriate technical evaluation
  • Prepare a tender package with appropriate commercial questionnaire and evaluation

Tender Evaluation

  • Manage a multifunctional evaluation of the tender package
  • Offer support to the technical, Local content and HSSE evaluation
  • Evaluate the commercial proposals to the tender
  • Negotiate with the bidders on commercial and contractual terms

Recommendation to Award

  • Collate all the evaluation documentation and develop a recommendation to award
  • Ensure that this is robust and meets the requirements of partners and the Petroleum Commission

Contract Management/ Contractor Performance Management

  • Commercial support throughout the execution of the contract
  • Ensure the delivery of the contract
  • Raise Purchase Orders in ERP Systems
  • Management of claims, variations and amendments to price and scope
  • Performance manage the contractor with the use of KPI and other metrics
  • Ensure compliance to contractual terms and conditions
Contract Close Out and Lessons Learned
  • Shall ensure that all contracts are closed out with all applicable purchases orders and invoices reconciled
  • Shall capture all lessons learned and best practises from the previous contract to ensure that all lessons are taken forward to the next project or contract


The Projects Contracts Advisor is reporting to Project Director


QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in a procurement role
  • Experience in a role supporting supply chain operations
  • Experience in tendering, negotiating and management of EPC or projects contracts
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, operations and technology is advantageous
  • Leadership skills, experience in cross functional teams and achieving high performance
  • Knowledge of supplier performance management.
  • Experience working with Target Cost contracts
  • Degree qualification and fluent in the English

  • MS Office and ERP system knowledge
