In the Data & Analytics team in MTD (MTDD), we are looking for a Product Owner for our Trading & Origination Data Management Solutions. The Product Owner will be responsible for gathering, aligning and prioritizing the requirements from the traders, originators & analysts in MT, to develop roadmaps, and to coordinate and follow up implementation.

The Digitalization unit (MTD) is a newly established unit in the Trading and Origination department in Statkraft (MT) with the core focus of driving digitalization in the department. Digitalization will be crucial for MT to deliver on its strategic targets of expanding the proprietary trading and customer business. MTD will speak the language of both business and IT and build strong skills within business knowledge, quantitative methodology and technology.

The location can be in Oslo or Dusseldorf.

Product Owner - Data Management Solutions (Oslo or Dusseldorf)

Key responsibilities

• Be responsible for the product ownership for MTs Data Management Solutions (e.g databases, tools and services)
• Work on the establishment of a state-of-the-art architecture for data storage and data access to users and applications across the Trading and Origination department
• Elicit, capture and analyze end-user data business requirements. Define the technical requirements to MI (IT department)
• Coordinate between different delivery units (e.g. IT department, other digitalization units and external data providers)
• Understand business challenges and requirements. Be responsible for aligning requirements across and prioritize implementation activities
• Develop and maintain roadmaps together with the product owners in other digitalization units
• Facilitate and oversee the implementation of aligned business requirements

Your profile:

• Relevant education and work experience in Finance, Computer science, Technology or Engineering
• Good understanding of the trading business and commodity markets/various asset classes
• Experience from working with data management and market data in commodity markets.
• Experience from working with data & analytics tools is beneficial
• Strong analytical skills and a self-going and structured mindset
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate well across various environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with and ability to translate and communicate business needs into technical requirements
• Fluent in English both oral and in writing other languages an advantage
