Materials Engineer for assingment in Brazil.

Job Description

• Engineer shall assist the Material Lead with follow-up of activities in the Materials discipline.
• Typical tasks will be document review, coordination of follow-up activities of shared inspectors with SIA (Subsea Integration Alliance) and own inspection contractors.
• Tasks will also include follow-up activities at different sites in Brazil.
• The sites will include, but not be limited to activities in welding, NDT and coating of linepipe, jumpers, forgings, piping, structure and general Subsea Production Systems.
• Shall report to Material Lead in Norway as agreed.
• The position will be based in Rio de Janeiro but will include follow up of a number of Sites in Brazil. 

Qualifications Requirements

• Engineer with a Bachelor degree in Materials technology and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Documented experience within fabrication with special focus on welding, NDT and coating from offshore line pipe projects
• Familiar with relevant offshore standards (DNVGL-ST-F101) and capable of reviewing documents based on these.
• Experience from fabrication follow-up on site
• Certified in Welding, NDT and preferably coating
• Shall be fluent in Portuguese and English
