Do you want to shape the future of education within digital marketing? We are looking for an Associate Professor in digital marketing!

If you are an active researcher who wants to be part of building a new department at a fast growing private university college, Bjorknes University College might be the place for you!

In recent years, Bjørknes University College has experienced strong growth in the number of students both on campus and on-line. Bjørknes University College is now expanding into a new academic field of studies, building a new department for business and administration studies. Currently, we are in the process of establishing a bachelor's degree in digital marketing and leadership, and are therefore looking for active and committed researchers who want to strengthen our academic team within the area of digital marketing.

Bjørknes University College is innovative in the development of flexible online and on-campus studies which are tailored to meet our students' needs, and with extensive use of digital tools and interactive services. We are a market leader in online studies and have developed our own platform and tools for online learning at the highest level. The position involves teaching and supervising our students both on-campus and online, as well as research and development work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build a completely new bachelor's degree in digital marketing and leadership where the candidate will shape structure, content and overall learning goals
  • Development of exciting and innovative subjects in the digital marketing field
  • On-campus and online teaching using state-of-the-art teaching methods
  • Research within the field of digital marketing,

We are looking for:  

Formal requirements:

  • PhD in digital marketing
  • Active research production in digital marketing
  • Proven ability to build domestic and international academic networks

Personal skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Independent, structured and result-oriented
  • Thorough
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Solid written and oral presentation skills in a Scandinavian language and / or English. Fluency in Norwegian is preferable, but not a requirement
  • Personal suitability is important
  • Teaching skills, both digital and on-campus. Applicants with documented pedagogical competence may be preferred

 The application must contain:

  • Application letter that presents academic background, research experience relevant to digital marketing, experience with teaching, administrative and other work tasks.
  • Supplementary CV.
  • Publication list and scientific work with a framework of up to 500 pages (publications from the last five years will be emphasized).

Applicants are expected to have a plan for developing their own research. Publications are expected to be published in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. Applicants must describe their research profile related to the digital marketing area. Emphasis will be placed on how the applicant's profile fits into the university college's strategic initiatives, as well as collaboration skills and ability to build networks.
