We're hiring a Product Manager to disrupt Construction!

Fonn is an exciting scale-up company in the international construction tech industry with 30 employees in 4 countries. We are rapidly growing and looking for a senior Product Manager with extensive experience in SaaS-based software development and knowledge of the construction industry to join our team.

As Product Manager at Fonn, you will have a key role as Product Owner and be responsible for the totality of our product offering from a technical and business level. You will work closely with colleagues in Norway, UK, US and Poland on a daily basis. This position will be based in Os, Norway, with a possibility for remote work location for the right candidate.

Our product offering is a cloud-based construction management software solution that increases productivity through streamlined collaboration. A web application in the office, and a mobile app on site, Fonn is ideal for construction projects of all sizes. Builders and workers can store documents, communicate in real-time, and monitor projects off-site in a single platform. Fonn simplifies communication so contributors stay informed and stay ahead of costly errors. Projects are done on time, on budget—creating efficiency and saving money. Fonn has allowed our users to deliver construction service excellence in over 25,000 projects worldwide.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based on a strong understanding of digital needs and possibilities in the construction industry, you know why we’re implementing new and improved features, its audiences and what problem it will solve. You align product visions, create specifications, and prioritize what the development team will deliver in each sprint while ensuring transparency with customers and company stakeholders on work in progress and work to come.

While reporting to the COO, you work closely with our CTO and development team to gain a deep understanding of the Fonn platform. Fonn is targeting different geographical markets, and a tight dialogue with our international sales&marketing teams and key customers is also essential for success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure our product continues to deliver a simple and efficient user experience.
• Proactively identify new product opportunities and propose changes where necessary.
• Maintain and communicate a detailed roadmap of our product offering.
• Define measures for tracking and follow-up of product performance.
• Stay on top of competition to understand what they’re doing and how we can do it better. 
• Work with senior management to determine and develop product strategy and goals.
• Maintain a good dialogue with our sales team and customer success managers to understand market requirements.
• Collaborate with our marketing team to let customers know about new product features and functionalities.
• Work continuously with the development team to ensure a close connection between market requirements and the direction of the product at a highly technical level.
• Prioritize product development (features, improvements, bugs) according to business value/ ROI.
• Participate in sprint planning and delivery.
• Evaluate relevant third-party software licenses and integrations.
• Responsible for training of sales, support and other customer-facing teams to keep them updated on the direction of the roadmap as well as current releases and deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as product manager or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of Construction and Project Management
• Technical understanding and experience to be able to communicate directly with our developers
• Good commercial understanding
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design methodology
• Entrepreneurial character with a passion for end-user applications and customer requirements
• Excellent written and verbal English language
• International travel up to 20%
