Barco Fredrikstad is a high-tech R&D facility within the Barco Group. Our team of world-leading experts design, develop, and manufacture compact, high-resolution, high-performance, and market-leading projectors. Applications span from pilot-, naval- or ground- simulated training facilities, amusement rides & attractions, concerts & events, to high-end home-cinema solution. As the Software Team Lead you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of our products and manage a world-leading team of software experts – taking the team to new heights. You are responsible for leading, motivating and coordinating the team, ensuring the team work efficiently and deliver the product/platform/architecture that meets the agreed specifications, time, and high-quality requirements, thus enabling customer satisfaction.  .

In this role you will

• Lead a team of SW & FPGA developers in Barco Fredrikstad 
• Lead and coach your team on a daily basis and contribute to an agile and positive working environment 
  
• Ensure that your team can work efficiently by providing administrative and technical guidance, tools and information 
  
• Fill the role of Scrum Master in Fredrikstad for all ongoing software development projects 
  
• Be technically responsible for software solutions and agile work methodology 
• Coordinate projects across Barco’s R&D sites in Norway and Belgium. 
• Report directly to the R&D Director in Fredrikstad 

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree in computer engineering or another relevant field 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with SW development, FPGA development or Electrical Engineering 
• Basic knowledge of both C++ and FPGA development 
• Fluent in English and Norwegian, and able to communicate efficiently with teams across borders 

It would also be great if you have knowledge or experience within one or more of these areas

• Prior experience as team lead, preferably with personnel management 
• Technical leadership 
• Technology development and innovation 
• Project management – ideally for mulit-site and multi-discipline projects 
• Agile development methodologies 
• Git, Jira, Confluence 
• C/C++, Python, Linux 
• Basic understanding of embedded electronics and FPGA development
