About the job

The CSR & Material Coordinator is responsible for project management and reporting across the social and environmental dimensions of Corporate Social Responsibility at Db, working across all business areas and close collaboration with the CHRO and the Head of CSR. Most of our footprint lies within our supply chain, and this is where our improvement initiatives will be focused. Therefore, this role is also in charge of material development and sourcing striving to find the most sustainable solutions.

Fields of responsibility

• Development and implementation of Db’s DoBetter sustainability roadmap
• Ownership of Db’s DoBetter report, including GHG emissions, projects status, and progress towards our CSR targets
• Management of compliance with current and upcoming legislations
• External stakeholder relationships within CSR (certifications, memberships, etc.)
• Development, sourcing, and documentation of all materials incl. innovation projects
• Supplier development and maintenance of high compliance industry standards
• Ownership of all data in the Higg Index tool suite

Further on key tasks:

• In collaboration with the Head of CSR, provide expertise on initiatives and guiding the process of project management
• Supervise the CSR evolution in our markets and drill compliance improvement projects into the way we operate
• Lead the activities related to due diligence on human rights in our supply chain
• Manage strategic partnerships contributing to Db becoming the most responsible bag and luggage brand in the industry
• Represent Db and be active in all CSR-related organisations we are members of
• Be the Db representative towards B Corp and drive improvement initiatives to secure re-certification
• Create our yearly CSR report, our supplier compliance framework with attention to progress and performance
• Support our suppliers to understand and support the DoBetter strategy by sharing climate friendly research and solutions
• Develop and source materials with aiming to reduce material impact on people and the planet
• Ensure quality data in our PLM system, the Higg Index tool suite, from product and material (MSI, PM) to supplier (FEM, FSLM)
• Support the Head of CSR an Marketing team in communicating our DoBetter strategy as a key success factor
• Operate as a point of contact within the business for all CSR-related questions

About you

• Good understanding of the textile supply chains and the environmental impacts along the lifecycle of products
• Strong project management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Tech savvy, experience with PLM or Higg Index is a plus
• Solution driven and result oriented
• Good interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years relevant education (textile engineering, environmental sustainability, product development, or related field)
• At least 2 years of experience in a related position, preferably in the apparel or outdoor industry
