We have highly skilled, social and creative people working in our Electrical group within the Department Instrument, SAS, Electrical and Telecom in Stavanger. We are now looking for Senior Specialist Electrical Engineers to join our team.


What will you be doing?

• Develop your engineering skills by working together with highly skilled engineers in a dynamic environment
• Work in electrification, modification and maintenance projects
• Work with clients to reduce carbon footprint from existing and new installations
• Tasks may include: Working with electrical system engineering, co-ordinate with clients and sub-suppliers for electrical packages, prepare relevant test procedures and witness FAT's, prepare engineering inputs for relevant jobpackages / commissioning for offshore installation, update changes in engineering database/documents, vendor follow up for procurement packages and participation in FAT / testing.

We think you should have:

• Relevant Bachelor/Master
• Experience from the NCS and Knowledge of NORSOK Standards.
• Min. 10 years of working experience in oil and gas industries.

Aker solutions have an extensive brownfield project portfolio including electrification of oil & gas installations, power from shore transmission and modification offshore and onshore.

Experience from some of the following areas is an advantage:

• Power from shore / electrification offshore & onshore
• Transmission system, HVDC and HVAC
• HV converter technology (Static & VSD)
• HV power cable transfer system/protection
• Topside integration of subsea compression and pipline heating
• HV modifications onshore grid
• Power module design and integration offshore and onshore
• Wind power technology & offshore hook-up
• Power management systems (PMS)
• Electrical calculations and analysis
