In the role of Lead Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering on the technology agenda for a major field development project ensuring value creation in the execution and operation phases (reduced cost, prepare for unmanned operations, improved safety, reduced environmental footprint). You will also be responsible for the framework for evaluating and selecting new technologies in the DG0-DG2 project stages for Aker BP field development projects.   

Typical work tasks will be: 

• Ensure potential technologies have been evaluated in a lifecycle perspective and that technology plans are sufficiently matured at Concept Select 

• Work with concept development teams to ensure informed and data-driven decisions on technology that increases the value of the Aker BP project portfolio 

• Responsible for identifying common technology challenges and potential solutions across the Aker BP field development portfolio and project Hopper  

• The focal point for coordinating, evaluating, qualifying, and implementing new technology in the NOA/Fulla project according to established Aker BP processes 

• Responsible for efficient interfaces between the NOA/Fulla fixed facility alliance and technology development teams ensuring alignment and coordination 

• Responsible for maintaining an overview of the NOA/Fulla Technology Roadmap and for reporting on overall status and progress to leadership and key stakeholders 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher 

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience within technology and/or oil & gas industry  

• Demonstrated ability to drive and/or supervise technology development and implementation  

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate and drive cross-functional collaboration   

• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, Norwegian and English (Oral and Written)
