Our Electrical, Instrument and Telecom department in Fornebu is now looking for a Senior Instrumentation Automation System Engineer.

What will you be doing?

• Act as Discipline lead/Group lead of the instrument discipline in FEED and EP for both renewable and oil & gas projects
• Participate in studies and concept development
• Be responsible for the overall automation system design, SAS, SIL, F&G, and emergency systems
• Develop control philosophies, functional specifications, and system/network architectures for automation systems
• Prepare I/O schedules, control narratives, and cause & effect diagrams
• Be responsible for functional safety-related activities such as Hazop/LOPA reviews, design of Safety Instrumented Functions, and SIL verification
• Alarm management activities such as developing alarm schedules and participation in alarm rationalization workshops
• Ensure discipline integration and coordination with other project disciplines
• Follow up deliverables from vendors
• Provide technical support to construction and commissioning
• Provide input for and make use of technical registers (COMOS, MIPS, Client systems, etc.)
• Make sure the expectations towards HMS and quality are fulfilled
• Take actions towards our project execution model to meet the requirements in the project
• Build network towards the client, vendors, and internally in the group

We think you should have:

• Bachelor`s or Master’s degree in automation, cybernetics, IT, process control, or other similar relevant area
• Minimum 10 years of engineering design experience in the offshore oil & gas industry
• Solid knowledge of instrument systems, SAS systems, and multidiscipline knowledge of EIT
• Familiarity with networking protocols and interfacing of 3rd party systems with main automation systems
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Cross-cultural attitude and ability to work across location
