Pricing Specialist
As our Pricing Specialist you will contribute to identification and execution of price increase and demand generation opportunities in order to maximize revenue, profit and share of market for the local Sales organization, whilst ensuring ABB customer satisfaction.
The Pricing Specialists responsibilities are:
- Be the interface between the local sales organization (LSO) and the global division pricing department. Participate in regular pricing calls and present pricing input from EL Norway. Provide regular status reports to relevant local and global management.
- Develop and implement methods to execute price recommendations generated for the LSO by a pricing business intelligence tool. Extract and analyze data to measure effectiveness of current pricing strategy. Coordinate pricing initiatives and action plans among different functions (Quotation teams, Channel management, Finance as well as Sales). Define clear commercial policies based on customers and product segmentations.
- Administration of rebates and bonuses (incl. monthly accruals) through implementation of rebate management tool (Vistex in SAP) and be solution owner after implementation.
- Coordinate the regular price adjustment processes, keeping an overview of all businesses and agreements.
- Pricing execution workshops - Responsible for local internal pricing training.
Preferred background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Finance/Accounting is required.
- Preferably 2-5 years of experience in pricing analytics using pricing optimization software (i.e., Zilliant, Tableau, PROS, Vendavo).
- Strong software skills required, Microsoft Office Tools (particularly Excel).
- Use and knowledge of Salesforce.com, SAP, eBusiness Quotation tools, and Sharepoint a plus.
- Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
- Advanced level of English.
- Self-starter profile with strong multi-stakeholder management skills.
- Must demonstrate high level of initiative, consensus building skills, and is viewed internally as a strong advocate for inter-functional collaboration and communication.
- Consistently commits to assigned deliverables, follows through effectively and achieves positive outcomes, timely and accurately.
