Technical Support Engineer for Broadband Satellite Networking Equipment

Job Description:

• 2nd Level support to our worldwide customers on both VSAT and Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) systems.
• Installation of VSAT and MSS systems.
• Owning the troubleshooting until resolution for the problem reported by the customer which can be fixed, mobile and maritime VSAT and MSS solutions.
• Maintain day to day tasks based on assigned support tickets from the customers.
• Take appropriate action to resolve problem in timely manner to meet or exceed customer SLA.
• Field Service for Hub installations, maritime VSAT/Communication equipment installation and general maintenance.
• Conduct testing to reproduce customer issues.

Job Requirement

• A bachelor's degree in Electronic/Telecommunications, or equivalent in relevant area
• At least 5 years of experience working on VSAT Provider with field and/or operational experience.
• Able to install Fix VSAT, maritime experience will be good.
• Ability to work under pressure and very good communications skills
• Very good experience and knowledge on RF, Link budget
• Very good hands-on experience on Networking (Cisco Switch, Router, Firewall),
• Server OS: Hands on experience on Windows server and Linux.
• Certification: GVF, and Networking certification will be an advantage.
• Familiar with using wiresharks, spectrum analyser, and other measurement tools.
• Norwegian and English are Mandatory, other language e.g. French, Spanish will be an advantage.
