Do you want to become part of our DNV Maritime Advisory team in Trondheim?

In our Control Systems and Cybernetics Advisory Section in Trondheim, we are working closely with maritime clients on a day-to-day basis. This includes designers, shipyards, shipowners/rig owners and E&P companies.

Through our global network you will be part of exciting projects together with clients all over the world.

You will help us deliver challenging projects by developing simulation models (digital twins) for vessel performance estimation and testing of complex onboard control systems. The work also includes maintenance and development of existing and future technologies and services related to establishing digital twins based on time-domain simulations, using cloud infrastructure and web technologies.

You will be working in a software development team with activities including:

• Contributing to the development of:
• simulation software and solutions for simulations in the cloud
• SaaS solutions for future assurance services
• control systems interfacing
• Cloud based authentication and security
• Design and implementation both front-end and back-end
• Programming in C++, Clojure/ClojureScript, JavaScript
• Working with such technologies as React, Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, Azure Cloud Services, SQL, Azure DevOps
• Executing and contributing to improving existing DevOps processes (test automation, CI/CD)
• Following and contributing to improving established agile development framework
• Quality assurance through code review
• Collaboration with the wider software developer community across DNV

Position Qualifications

?We are seeking a Senior Product Developer for our group. We are looking for someone with several of the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree in computer/data science or equivalent competence
• Deep familiarity with one or more of these programming languages:
• Clojure/ClojureScript
• Java
• Azure
• C++
• Matlab/Simulink
• JavaScript
• Dev ops
• Interest in functional programming
• Knowledge of RESTful web services
• Experience with the following is beneficial:
• Front end (UX) experience
• Azure cloud services or similar
• Low level I/O interfacing
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Fluent in English
