Applications are invited for a 3-year position as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Stefan Krauss lab. at the Centre of Excellence “Hybrid Technology Hub", Oslo University Hospital/University of Oslo, Norway. The overall objective of the Hybrid Technology Hub is to develop innovative “organ-on-a-chip" formats. The newly established interdisciplinary Centre is located at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, with partners at the University of Glasgow (Prof. Nikolaj Gadegaard) and Imperial College, London (Prof. Molly Stevens) https://www.med.uio.no/hth/english/ The Stefan Krauss lab. is a pioneer in developmental signaling.
Job description
The position will focus on organ-on-a-chip embedded gastruloid technology. The overall aim of the project is to use the inductive potential of gastruloids for exploring and advancing early stage endodermal derived organ development.The work will be embedded in an interdisciplinary team, including four Marie Sk?odowska Curie fellows, working on platform design, iPS derived organoids, sensor development and imaging.
The position is available for 3 years
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a PhD degree with a strong scientific background relevant to the position
- Scientific creativity and ability to drive own research ideas to a successful conclusion
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills (English)
- Proven ability to work and collaborate within an interdisciplinary environment
- Applicants must have essential expertise in stem cell biology or developmental biology and preferably in pluripotent stem cells
