About the Position 

Due to increased activity, we are looking to fill a permanent position for a Junior Logistics Coordinator at our warehouse in Tananger. You will be learning the many aspects of the position while working side-by-side with a local experienced mentor, supporting maritime related operations from day 1. This opportunity is open to anyone who is sensitive to internal and external customer needs and is excited by applying this passion in the shipping industry. The goal for this position is to develop into a full Logistics Coordinator role. We are also considering a summer position as a Warehouse Operator, so candidates interested in a temporary position are also welcome to apply.  

Daily Tasks  

After adequate training, you will support operations while performing the following tasks: 

• Retaining overview of goods in the warehouse 
• Registering goods in and out of our data systems 
• Packing, stuffing, labeling and securing of packages 
• Cooperating with our customs and logistics departments to ensure accurate documentation 
• Coordinating with our Ship Agents to help them provide better service to our customers 
• Coordinating with our customers and suppliers in the maritime industry 
• Driving the forklift 
• Other practical, administrative, and logistics related tasks as you develop in the role 

Other Job details 

• Most tasks can be completed during regular work hours; however, we provide 24/7/365 service and there will be periods of higher workload as well as work during irregular times. Most work outside of regular work hours is brief and can be completed at home, and a need to travel to the worksite at these times is rare  
• This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues in the maritime industry 
• Upon hire, you will cooperate with your leader and others to create a training plan aimed to help you reach your potential. Responsibilities will be increased with proven competency

Desired Qualifications 

• Genuine interest to apply yourself and further develop your competencies 
• Proficient written and verbal English skills  
• Ability to understand Norwegian in a workplace setting with a desire for further development 
• Comfortable using data as a work tool  
• Driver’s license kl B is a requirement  
• Forklift license is a plus 
• Relevant courses and certificates as related to packing, warehouse safety, forklift driving, dangerous goods management is also a plus
