Halliburton is growing our software team in Sandefjord. You have an opportunity to become an important part in a small and competent department in a large international organization.  

As our senior software developer, you will be a key contributor in our local software development team, but also a part of our global software team. You will have responsibility to understand and analyze customer needs, create an implementation plan, and ensure that all requirements are met.  

Our department is founded on a product for measuring pressure and temperature behind casing in a well called LinX200. Halliburton have several complementary technologies and the Sandefjord location is defined as a global excellency center for inductive coupler and digital infrastructure technology.

Work tasks and responsibilities:

• Embedded software development work tasks
• Take ownership to our software and continued improvement through the entire life cycle
• Create system visions, designs, work packages and follow up the implementation
• Co-operate with project managers, product owners and other engineers locally and globally
• Testing, release and deployment, and provide 3rd line support
• Mentor, guide and support other engineers in the organization
   

Expectations:

We are searching for an engineer with excellent software competencies and relevant background.

It is important to be creative and self-motivated. You need to enjoy both independent work and collaboration with others. Good communication skills in English are required, Norwegian skills is an advantage. Some travel must be expected.

Qualifications and competencies:

• Bachelor or Master diploma
• 10 years of relevant experience
• Skilled in embedded and object-based programming
• Knowledge or experience in multiple languages: C, C++, Python, HTML, PHP, SQL,
• Relevant technologies: Cyclone V, ARM, IoT
• Development tools such as Git, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Keil
• Communication protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, PPP, OPC, MODBUS,
• Linux experience is an advantage
• Familiar with analog and digital circuit board design
