Field Service Technician Abbott Rapid Diagnostics AS


Responsibilities

• As the Experienced professional in the Medical Device Field Services Sub-Function, possesses well developed skills in technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.

• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

• Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.

• Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

• Always be fully updated on our existing products and coming ones with the regards of the technical information, updates, retrofits, software and maintenance.

• Always be updated and have the most recent documentation and have adequate access to necessary systems.

• Continually update and register in mandatory records/systems.

• Administer invoices, orders, received goods, repairs, RMA’s and retrofits.

• To develop and document new processes and optimize existing procedures when needed or necessary

• To be one of the main technical contacts in the Nordic med tech team externally for ARDx customers and internally throughout the Nordic organization regarding technical questions on all technical enquiries.

• To be of assistance for the sales staff and contract mgmt. in connection with tenders, unit sales and service contracts.

• Participate in any and all reasonable work activities as may from time to time be deemed suitable and assigned by the Service Manager.


Background and Experience

• High School certificate, Technical or healthcare education or a relevant higher education, with a focus on technical, product, market, healthcare or equivalent competence acquired through work experience and additional competencies in a highly regulated medical solutions industry (in vitro diagnostic and med tech).

• Preferable 2-3 years experience within a comparable position.

• Experience in establishing a “Best in Class” Shared Service Centre for Customer Service with a focus on continuous improvement and KPI’s.

• Demonstrated success in managing and coordinating a multi-skilled team in performance and productivity.

• Fluent in Norwegian and English language (Swedish and Danish language would be beneficial).

• Drivers license is a must.
