This is why we have now opened our Oslo office, and our Norwegian content team is growing. We are looking for someone who’s dream job is to help develop the Norwegian podcast market even further by joining the audio boom, and us at Acast Norway. 

We are looking for that person who will help develop and collaborate with premium publishers, networks, influencers, production agencies, lovers of audio and passionate ones - so they too can find their way to strategy, growth and success in this new landscape of podcasting. 


About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and passionate Content Development Manager to be part of the core team establishing the Norwegian market, to be based at our office in Oslo and reporting to the Content Director, Nordics. You will be responsible for establishing relations with potential content partners to help us expand our audio content network, and help storytellers - from independents to publishers - to thrive through their passion and craft. 


You will reach out, pitch, negotiate and sign new partners to Acast and enable them to thrive through their passion and craft, and help them build their podcast businesses. You’ll also spot the potential for new formats and podcast hosts, and help develop these formats.  As well as a strong knowledge of podcasting and on-demand audio, you’ll be able to demonstrate a sensitivity to commercial opportunities and brands, as well as an appreciation of the rapidly evolving podcast landscape. Ideally, you have a creative mind, are highly organized and analytical, and have a good grasp of and interest in technology. Building relationships comes easy to you, you have a strategic mind combined with a go-getter attitude. You love people, people love you - and you love podcasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and be ever-representing of “Acast for storytellers” - on the Norwegian market
  • Use existing network and build a strong network with talent, potential creators, producers, storytellers and initiate new formats and develop content the Norwegian market is in need of
  • Recruit, negotiate and implement contractual relationships with content providers (existing podcasts, media houses, production agencies)
  • Establish and manage high-level relationships with current and future content partners
  • Provide support and creative direction to new creators 
  • Guide and assist content partners with integration into our systems 

Characteristics

  • Senior approach and experience for solving problems and creating opportunities
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of the podcast market and audio industry
  • Commercially and Creatively gifted
  • Excellent pitching, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Spots opportunities wherever you go, you are a dot-connector!
  • Ability to negotiate agreementsExceptional verbal and written interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills
  • Team player that is collaborative, creative and highly motivated
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English
  • Some experience in audio production, journalism, digital media or branded content is a plus

We are seeking a creative individual, who loves podcasting and wants to be a part of our story. The role requires you to have fantastic organizational skills with a self starter/self motivated attitude. You should also be excellent at pitching, presentation prep & delivery and a natural problem-solver. You have the ability to negotiate agreements professionally, with a smile and you consider yourself to be commercially and creatively gifted. 

If you have experience in audio production, sales, journalism, digital media or branded content that is a plus and that you have proficient knowledge and understanding of the podcast market and audio industry.You are a team player that is collaborative, creative and highly motivated and fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English. Perhaps you also have some great key contacts from networks that you will come armed with to get this market activated fully
