Proposal Estimator

Havfram is aiming to become a global leading company in the energy transition from offshore oil and gas services into the offshore renewables and wind industry. To prepare for this, we are strengthening the Business Acquisitions (BA) team in the Stavanger office by recruiting a Proposal Estimator. 

We can offer an exciting opportunity in the Business Acquisition team where you will contribute to plan, execute and deliver in-house tenders, as part of a global support function. The right candidate will get in-depth exposure both within commercial and technical aspects of our business and also be required to work with sensitive strategic information.

Duties and responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost/price estimates and other deliverables for the commercial offer
• Engage in value engineering discussions to identify the best commercial and technical solution available
• Present estimates to Senior Management team 
• Comparing cost estimates with historical benchmarks and analyzing deviations
• Identifying and quantifying cost uncertainties and associated risks
• Following and improving procedures to maintain the necessary quality and standards of estimating
• Manage the internal Bid Cost Estimate (BCE) model for your assigned bids
• Contribute to the  experience transfer process between Business Execution and Business Acquisition
• Work closely with the BA team and other departments such as engineering, legal, finance and asset management to obtain accurate costing input
• Supporting BA team as required

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering and/or Business degree, Master or Bachelor
• Good technical understanding of our business
