Software Engineer - Build and Automation

To help achieve our ambitious goals on delivering high value and high-quality software to our customer base in the Nordics and Europe, we are now looking for a software engineer with a strong profile and interest for build systems and automation. You will play an important role in continuously developing our build and automation capabilities and cadence.

Main tasks and duties

As a member of the Research and Development team, you will

• Drive our build competence and capacity
• Lead the design, configuration and maintenance of build pipelines
• Set up and maintain build system, monitor usage and continually improve efficiency and performance
• Help build a team and cultivate innovation by driving cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the domain build and automation
• Translating data and insights into strategies - continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proficient in one or more of the following: C/C++, C#, Python
• Good understanding of software delivery lifecycle and the role of CI/CD
• Experience with legacy and modern application development from source to running in production
• Language: We are a multinational team located in Trondheim, Stockholm, Gdansk and Basel and it's important that you are comfortable using English in your day to day work and are able to clearly express your views and ideas

Areas of expertise and interests:

• Subject matter expertise in developer tools, build and continuous delivery best practices
• Experience with multiple build systems and package managers like: Make, MsBuild, Bazel, Conan, vcpkg, npm, Nuget, pip
• Experience using and managing CI/CD tools such as: Team City, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Github actions
• Containers and associated technologies.
