Gard is looking for an HR advisor to join our HR department at our headquarter in Arendal. From Arendal we deliver HR services to all our offices worldwide.

The HR Advisor is responsible for the full spectrum of HR functional and operational tasks and processes, to enable the organization to deliver global operational excellence.

As an HR Advisor you will interact with a variety of functions, roles, leaders and employees in Gard spread across our offices globally. You will promote and facilitate efficient collaboration and knowledge-sharing to ensure the best possible implementation of HR processes and procedures throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing functional and/or operational HR generalist advice on processes governed and coordinated by HR
  • Responding to complex HR queries
  • Develop effective and professional HR processes
  • Efficiently execute back-office HR process
  • Deliver quality output from key processes governed and coordinated by HR, e.g. manpower planning/budgeting, recruitments, annual salary reviews, review and revision of compensation and benefits, liaison with union representatives etc.
  • Relevant education and/or work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues in HR and elsewhere in the organization
  • Ability to perform and contribute to a team-oriented environment
  • Solution oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations/circumstances
  • Positive attitude
  • Good analytical skills and mindset
  • Excellent written and spoken English
