Our Integrated Solutions Division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Automation, Bridge Systems and Electro products and solutions. Since the development of the first Dynamic Positioning system in the 1970's, Kongsberg Maritime has always been in the forefront of developing leading Automation and Bridge Systems, and the Integrated Solutions division is responsible for maintaining and further developing that substantial legacy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Electrical Designer - Switchgear, reporting to Product Manager Switchgear in the Energy department. In this role, you will be a part of the Product Switchgear Team delivering efficient Energy products to the business. You will be responsible for the Electrical architecture between the different function units.

Key accountabilities

• Electrical architecture in HV & LV Switchgear
• Protection and HMI architecture for the product
• Producing and maintaining the required standard technical documentation
• Life-cycle management of the products
• Perform testing of Electrical architecture
• Collaborate with other key resources in the organization to utilize synergies across functions and product areas

Qualifications and experience

• College or technical in electrical engineering
• Maritime and field experience from electrical systems
• Experience from product development and testing
• Demonstrated experience within switchgear design and compliance with EMC requirements
• In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standard, classification rules and flag states
• Fluent written and oral communication skills in English
