As our new platform engineer, you will be responsible for defining and building our platform infrastructure & tooling for the future. You will be part of the core team ensuring stable and accessible services for our customers, and engineers. Today, our platform consists of Kubernetes with Istio, and we focus on delivering guidelines and solutions to our engineering teams.

We believe your day to day will look somewhat like this:

• Design and implement cloud architecture to build our platforms (service and data)
• Define and implement security routines for Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement cloud monitoring solutions
• Implement "zero-trust" security models
• Contribute to functioning infrastructure of new product teams
• Be an active participant in defining and implementing services and solutions for product teams.

To succeed it will be useful to have:

• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI / CD, and automation
• Experience with cloud architecture (We use GCP and Azure)
• Knowledge of Go, Python, or other open-source languages
• Knowledge of “Infrastructure as Code” (eg Terraform, Pulumi)
• Passion to learn new things and share knowledge with colleagues
• Knowledge of service-mesh, data-mesh, and how they relate to each other

And really nice to have:

• Experience as a Platform engineer, or other relevant DevOps positions.
• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Higher education in relevant areas, or relevant work experience
• Fluent / very good English, oral and written
