To our field service organization at Heiane, Stord, Wärtsilä Norway AS is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Service engineer / Superintendent Engineer with experience in the field of electrical and automation.

The work is performed in rotation (4-4). Training on Wärtsilä's products and systems will be provided. 

 

MAIN TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

As a Senior Service Engineer / Superintendent Engineer you will, for our customers world-wide, perform and- or lead work related to testing, commissioning, service / troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and automation systems as well as preparing reports and documentation. If needed, you will work from our location at Heiane in connection with projects and the like.

Our preferred candidate also has the ability to make decisions, work independently, and are service minded. In addition, you need to be structured - understand and be able to solve problems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree within Electrical Automation or Technical School in the field
  • Vocational certificates within the field and / or documented and relevant experience can compensate for formal education
  • Good knowledge of PMS/EMS (Power/Energy Management System), battery systems, frequency converters, electrical switch boards PLSs, process systems, LNG systems, HMI systems
  • Experience from working with Wärtsilä's product and systems is an advantage
  • Experience related to start-up and maintenance of electro-automation systems both on offshore and on marine installations
  • Experience with preparation of reports and documentation
  • Experience with international work and travel activity

 

REQUIREMENT

  • Health declaration offshore and for seafarers
  • Good Norwegian and English knowledge both verbally and in writing
  • Norwegian driver's license
  • Residence in Norway
