Software Developer - Graduate Program - Subsea Control System, Kongsberg


Introduction to the Job
The TechnipFMC Graduate Program is a one year onboarding program. You will be assigned a personal mentor, and included in the Graduate family where you can share knowledge, information and experiences.
During the program you will be provided with lots of relevant training and development opportunities, and also closely followed up and supported by your mentor and manager through monthly meetings.
We believe that our onboarding program helps new employees to be engaged, competent and confident.

Job description
As our new team member you will be part of a relatively small but highly competent SW development department, where everyone's contribution counts. You will be able to work and be involved in the whole SW development value chain; from requirement & concept phase, through implementation, and further to test and support both towards manufacturing and in the field. In TechnipFMC, our department is the sole provider of subsea control system SW, and deliver to all parts of the world. With 30 years of experience in delivering robust and reliable SW in the subsea oil industry, we are also eager to utilize this competence and our culture in new areas going forward.
We need new graduates to challenge us and inspire us with new competency and perspective on existing and future solutions and systems. TechnipFMC has a clear strategy for turning our subsea control systems in a more environmentally friendly direction, by reducing the use of hydraulics and looking into new energy solutions, such as "All-Electric Control System" and Deep Purple program.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and test SW
  • Specify SW solutions through necessary documentation
  • Understanding of product and system requirements
  • Cooperate with colleagues all over the world

You are meant for this job if
  • You have a recent education such as BSc or MSc in Computer Science/Embedded Software/Electronics
  • You have an interest in further developing C++, scripting and Embedded Linux skills
  • You have an interest in software architecture and concept definition
  • You have an interest in enhancing and developing automated test methods
  • You have good communication skills
  • You work well in cross-functional teams
  • You are eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges
