Duties and responsibilities
Develop and maintain products and technologies within the powder coatings area allowing Powder Segment to meet its strategic goals, ensuring and strengthening the position as market and technology leader.
Act as the Technical Leader for projects assigned by the R&D Management as well as managing resources within the R&D department in accordance to relevant regulations and guidelines.
Contribute professionally to increase internal competence and act as external representative for technology competence within the powder coatings field.
What does a typical month of work look like? You would probably have encountered some of these tasks:Act as Technical Leader for assigned innovation and technology projects.
Plan and execute activities on innovation and technology projects assigned by the R&D Management.
Formulate, test and evaluate powder recipes in accordance to relevant requirements and standards.
Perform tasks on maintenance of existing products, formulation handbooks and evaluation of new/alternative raw materials.
Systematically document, analyse and report results from development and maintenance work, make conclusions and recommendations.
Develop and implement test methods relevant to evaluation of product performance, contributing efficiency and quality of the development process.
Recipe responsibility for assigned brands.
Be a technical resource for customer support, commercial and production teams within the area of responsibility.
Make and hold technical presentations internally and externally and give advice within own subject.
Follow up on market needs, competitors, new technology and trends.
Search for and make use of relevant knowledge, be one step ahead.
Lead and manage assigned laboratory technicians.
Take initiative to improve the way we work with respect to procedure and routines.
You have an MSc or PhD in organic, polymer or material chemistry.
