New Energy | Vice President Business Development

New sources of energy are growing in scale and importance and they require reliable information about the subsurface to manage risk and plan investments. Are you ready to help PGS evolve new business concepts in the search for renewable resources and lower emissions? We are looking for an ambitious VP Business Development with the conviction and communication skills required to capture market share in the New Energy segment to join our new department in Oslo. The position will report directly to our EVP New Energy.

Main Tasks

• Help develop our New Energy strategy 
• Analyze and identify new markets 
• Quantify the size and timing of market segments
• Conduct and apply stakeholder mapping and devise engagement plans
• Help our technical team to turn conceptual customer requirements into feasible deliverables 
• Develop viable business models for products and services
• Explore, evaluate and close funding opportunities with external parties
• Explore, evaluate and close partnering deals with external parties
• Manage projects with external consultancies

Required Qualifications

• Proven track record as a business development manager, business analyst or similar role
• Good understanding of energy markets
• MSc/BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
• Proven experience within business case development, market research and analysis
• Project management skills
• Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong customer mindset 
• Communication and negotiation skills 
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
