Are you our new Category Manager?

GlobalConnect is in an expansive phase where we challenge the traditional telecom structures and redraw Northern Europe's digital infrastructure map! We are now looking for a Category Manager for our Indirect Procurement team.

What will you do with us?

As a Category Manager, you have an important function in all parts of our contracts and suppliers' life cycles. This includes everything from RFP, procurement, and negotiation to follow-up, renegotiation, or termination of agreements.

The work takes place in close collaboration with external supplier partners and colleagues at the GlobalConnect Group, where you act as support for our business managers across the group in procurement of new solutions and in commercial and contract issues.

When you do not procure or negotiate with new suppliers, you work at an overall level with follow-up of how both the suppliers and GlobalConnect fulfill contracts in actual deliveries. Furthermore, you ensure documentation of agreements, as well as handle and monitor existing contracts and act as needed. We care deeply about the relationship with our partners, and of course, you also work proactively all the time for good cooperation and a good relationship with our suppliers.

You will also work in, and run, improvement projects internally. It can be about implementing new business support systems, improving flows, or proposing and implementing strategic improvements within your expert role as a Category Manager. Another part is that together with the business, also sets and harmonizes a future category strategy.

The procurement function at GlobalConnect is currently under changes becoming more and more focused on Category Management, and this job means a unique opportunity to be involved in building a professional Procurement function in a fast-growing company.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who thrives and gets energy from working in a fast-paced and value-driven company with a lot of commitment, forward-thinking and ambitious goals! We believe that you have worked several years with procurement and contract management in a similar role and that you have experience with project management, supplier management, and negotiation of international contracts within Telecom. It is important that you have a good understanding of the industry and we are happy to see that you have an in-depth understanding of digital infrastructure.

Minimum a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering, Finance or Law discipline, or other relevant education that is equivalent.

As a person, you are analytical, solution-oriented, and have plenty of initiative and willingness to contribute. You are sharp analytically and commercially, and you can prioritize and navigate complex situations. As you have many contact surfaces both internally and externally, we see that you enjoy forging and nurturing relationships. Furthermore, it is important that you are structured, have good judgment and that you have your own drive to achieve our common goals!
