We are looking for a Business Operations Manager.

Mission:

The main aspiration for Business Operations Manager is to contribute in Helly Hansen’s value creation (i.e. maximizing the HH current commercial potential while minimizing risk and capital employed) by providing input to channels, markets and functions strategic direction, operations and execution of the business. Business Operations manager analyze, plan and evaluate the business by providing relevant information (tools and processes) and value-added analysis & decision support. Business Operations lead and participate in projects that enhance, develop or modify business, business metrics and reporting. The Business Operations Manager works in close cooperation with Commercial Teams and Functions in accordance with relevant responsibility matrix.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business value creation planning and strategic alignments
  • Business unit target setting, including follow up of business analytics including turnover and margin monitoring from channel, country, category and customer/group of customers perspective
  • Category planning, target setting and analysis to support strategic initiatives and drive improvement
  • Seasonal review, Sell through & risk assessment
  • Business development & Operational improvements projects
  • Price and margin management
  • Rolling Forecasts (quantities, prices and margin) down to EBITDA down to channel/market/business units
  • Support Integrated business model by analysis, tools and reporting to drive profitability and alignment with strategy on the various workstreams
  • Inventory management
  • Business tools, Analytics and planning
  • Industry, market, customer and competitor analysis
  • This role will have key focus on the D2C channel

Competencies & personal attributes:

  • Minimum education is a bachelor but preferably a master's degree in business or economics
  • Solid business analytics knowledge, commercial understanding, and judgement – minimum 5 years experience from similar function
  • Reliable, responsible, driven, self-going and output oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and take on a large workload at times
  • Analytical and structured with good attention to detail while understanding the big picture
  • Ability to cooperate, influence and support individuals across the organization
  • Fluent in English
  • The person has demonstrated efficient working routines and the ability to analyze and propose actions in a timely manner
  • The resource has commercial orientation and ability to add value and develop business and processes
  • Preferably the candidate is passionate for our Sport - Mountain and Water, brand Helly Hansen & Musto
  • The candidate executes fully and is result-driven, focus on getting the job despite obstacles and displays exhaustless positive energy - starting and finishing the day with the same enthusiasm
  • The manager should show the ability to energize others (the team, colleagues, and the customers), getting them revved up, and inspire them to execute in the face of adversity

Success metrics:

  • Key account and channel/country profitability improvements.
  • Sell through improvements
  • Inventory management, stock turn
  • Forecast/estimate accuracy
