Senior Software Engineer (DevOps)

Developer Foundations is a core team of 13 talented engineers based in our office in Oslo, responsible for building a technology foundation for Schibsted’s brands to leverage. Our mission is to enable our brands to run services in a simple and reliable way, by providing them tools for building, testing, deploying code, checking services and gathering data insights.

We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) to join a fun and dedicated team where we run among other things, Kubernetes, continuous delivery, metrics, logging, continuous integration, automation, and artifact storage platforms for Schibsted. You’ll also work with open-source tools (we have more than 400 contributions to open source projects) and be surrounded by colleagues with loads of experience in this field!

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with different areas of the organization and your insights will have a great impact on the success of our brands.

About you:

• You’re passionate about creating solutions that will be used in production and deliver business value

• You have a team mentality and willingness to share knowledge and ideas

• You are a self-driven person with an eagerness to learn new tools and technologies

• You have a genuine interest in troubleshooting technical issues

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of similar professional experience (but we care less about the number of years and more about what you have been doing)

• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining solutions in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, Azure or Kubernetes

• Coding experience with at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Groovy, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
