We are currently looking for a Machinery Engineer to our office in Stavanger, Norway. As a Machinery Engineer you will work in the Operations Technical Department and provide specialist expertise within the area of machinery system acting with the role as Vår Energi discipline and/or system technical responsible.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible to ensure the technical integrity of machinery systems during each assets life cycle

  • Responsible for following Vår Energi requirements and work processes related to the integrity of machinery systems

  • Fill assigned roles (discipline/lead discipline engineer) within Asset Integrity Management System

  • Manage risk, non-conformances and deviations within area of responsibility

  • Surveillance and optimization of machinery system ensuring safe operation, high reliability and effective maintenance plans

  • Lead/participate in troubleshooting/RCFA for machinery systems

  • Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and projects within area of responsibility 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and best practices 

  • Initiate and drive changes to improve safety, reliability and efficiency

  • Demonstrate company values in daily work (VIVIL)

 

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor or master degree within machinery engineering
  • 5+ years of experience

  • Have in depth knowledge of Norwegian regulations and standards within the area
  • Excellent Norwegian and English language (oral and written)
  • Strong team player with proactive approach to the decision making process
  • Problem solver
  • Good communication and cooperation skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities
