The Elkem Business System (EBS) Center has a corporate function, the catalyst for using EBS (Lean) Principles and Methods to achieve a safe working environment, develop our employees, deliver maximum customer value and support further growth of our organization and company.

The EBS Competence center is responsible for developing and standardizing continuous improvement within Elkem. We need to strengthen our EBS team with an experienced person with continuous improvement, technical and mechanical background.

The EBS Center is looking for candidates with broad EBS / lean management, technical and maintenance experience.

Main tasks:

• Identify current best practice in Elkem and support transfer between divisions and plants
• Support and guide Elkems operational and EBS divisional resources in their maintenance improvement work
• Actively participate in Technical managers meetings
• Facilitate and participate in corporate EBS training sessions
• Lead and support prioritized EBS projects at Elkem sites

Qualifications & Experience required for the position:

• Education in automation, electrical or mechanical engineering
• Proven track record in maintenance optimization
• Understanding of the general principles for safety of machinery
• Digital skills, including experience with use of statistical tools
• Good communication and co-operation skills
• Fluency in English both verbal and written

You might have a position as maintenance planner, support function or leader. EBS Center offers on-boarding programs and extensive training and support to build necessary competence for those who need it. As we expect you to be at least 50% of your time on site at plants / units, you must expect a considerable amount of time traveling, so current location is flexible.
