On behalf of our client – an exciting hydrogen production start-up with the aim of developing future hydrogen production units - we are now recruiting for talented Senior Process Engineers, to be based out of Oslo, Norway.

Job Purpose:     

• To provide process competence as part of and to the core onshore renewables engineering team

Accountabilities:

• Process specialist supporting internal development projects related to hydrogen production facilities
• Provide assistance as a senior engineer to projects in feasibility and FEED phases
• Involvement in commissioning work at hydrogen facilities is a possibility
• Generate ideas and improvements where needed and relevant

Required experience and knowledge:

• 5+ years’ relevant process engineering experience with expertise in the:
•      Running of process simulations
•      Set-up of heat and mass balances
•      Equipment sizing and equipment specification
• Experience of hydrogen is beneficial but not a must
• Preferably experience in hydrogen production processes either electrolysis, steam reforming or methane pyrolysis. This experience is relevant if obtained by working in EPC companies but also if obtained via thesis or equivalent at a university
• Preferably experience of working on onshore petrochemical or refinery industry projects
• Good experience of HYSYS simulation tool
• Ability to design process models from scratch and do simple process simulation e.g. cooling water circulation
• Experience of specialised design tools for equipment such as HDRI software is a plus

Required Education

• BSc or MSc in Process Engineering/Process Technology or equivalent study
