Model developer Nordic/European power markets

SKM Market Predictor is further expanding its strong analytical team and is looking for model developer Nordic/European Power market. Location is the company’s Helsinki or Trondheim office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex fundamental models of the Nordic and European power market
• Work in the international team of model developers and analysts
•  Contribute to the ad-hoc advisory projects focusing on mathematical calculations

Requirements:

• University degree in mathematics or computer science education
• Experience with mathematical modelling, knowledge of mathematic methods and optimization algorithms, practical experience with optimization problems
• Excellent programming skills with Matlab
• Knowledge of Python programming language and data analysis libraries (Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib)
• ·Knowledge of power and/or energy markets is strong advantage
• Ability to work both independently and in teams
• Good communication skills in English and/or Nordic language
