Director Ammonia Commercial Bunkering

Yara Clean Ammonia (YCA) is a global segment in Yara with the objective to commercialize, develop and capture growth opportunities within clean hydrogen and ammonia production, transport, market and distribution. The unit includes activities related to Upstream Projects &Technology, Commercial development of New Markets, Ammonia, Trade & Shipping (ATS), Product & Portfolio Management, and central expert and support functions. To fully develop the business potential, the segment will also explore partnerships and collaboration with external parties, while ensuring the important role that ammonia plays in Yara’s integrated business model.

The candidate will develop and execute a commercial roadmap for ammonia bunkering for Yara Clean Ammonia Unit. The position will be based in Oslo / Brussels and shall report to SVP, Clean Ammonia Commercial Development in YCA segment.

Responsibilities

·      Conceptualize and develop and implement new ammonia bunkering business road-map for implementation

·      Assess, evaluate and shortlist port-initiated projects for business partnerships

·      Assess, evaluate and short-list potential ammonia bunkering alliances and commercial partnerships

·      Understand the strategy and the plan of action of key bunkering ports and shipping majors to proactively take the lead on shaping YCA business ambitions based on the evolution in the shipping industry driven by current and upcoming environmental legislation on a European and International level:

o  ammonia as a fuel for shipping

o  Innovative technologies in shipping to facilitate compliance to international environmental regulations.

·      Develop mid to long-term prospects that are catalysts for promoting the company’s ambitions in the ammonia bunkering business

·      Promote the international brand and reputation of YCA in the right for and industry gatherings to create new business opportunities in ammonia bunkering 

Profile

·      Masters degree in Business Administration or equivalent

·      Minimum 5-10 years of work experience in harbours / ports / bunkering. Knowledge of shipping fuel bunkering essential

·      Experience in logistics /operations at port related to fuel bunkering

·      Experience in developing profitable business at ports

·      Flexible mindset and ability to deal with ambiguity

·      Fluency in written and spoken English. Other language capabilities are an asset

·      Willingness to travel
