The facilities will be located in the Mo i Rana industrial complex in Northern Norway, leveraging Norway’s highly skilled workforce and abundant, low-cost renewable energy sources from hydro and wind in a crisp, clear and energized environment. Freyr AS are seeking Product Managers and Product Engineers

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for 3 people with relevant technical backgrounds to link our technology and capabilities to the needs in the market. The creation of this link is the key to making our technology useful for the end-user. 

The ideal candidates have an understanding of battery technology, a strong interest in how this will develop over time and an ability to communicate their insights. In this role you will gain a complete overview of the battery field, come to understand how our technology compares to others in the market and how it can be adapted to fit the needs in the market.

• Work with product development strategy and benchmarking of products
• Maintain and develop product specifications and product development roadmap
• Interface with development team and define validation- and certification – programs
• Support sales organization with technical insight on products and application.
• Develop and maintain simulation tools for applications
• Manage product certification and product lifecycle management
• Oversee production and ensure that products conform to market specification and safety regulations

Product Managers and Product Engineers reports to Principal Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

• Minimum of 3 years experience with application of energy storage products in commercial applications
• Good understanding of the fundamentals of a lithium – ion battery and how they can best be applied in commercial applications
• Relevant technical Masters degree
• Fluent in English
