You could just call it an Analyst and Actuary Trainee.
But we are also looking for you who will make an impact in If and for our customers.
Do you want to make an impact using your mathematical and business skills? Would you like responsibility to pragmatically solve difficult challenges? If so, you might be the new employee in our trainee program. We aim to strengthen the analytical and actuarial competence to contribute to create the best insurance solutions and experiences for our customers.
About the role
You will be joining our one year long paid Nordic Analyst and Actuary Trainee Program that will run for the ninth time with young academics from Sweden, Norway and Finland. You will get a chance to work together with colleagues of a diverse background to solve real and important challenges in our customer interactions, pricing strategies, and more. In addition, we also offer a series of seminars to help you understand the various business units in If. The seminars are joined by other newly hired analysts and actuaries, so that you get a chance to meet your If peers in the Nordics.
This will form a good background for your future career in If. Previous trainees have taken various roles: Some have become interested in our core business and have taken up developing the insurance products our customers need. Others are curious for analytical problem solving, and found their motivation working in one of the analytical units. And quite some have come to see that their heart beats for helping their colleagues grow and have become coaches or leaders of new recruits.
About the team
You will be part of a team of five trainees recruited for this program. But importantly, you are expected to work together with business units in If, and be a natural part of their teams, contributing to their goals. From the very start, you will get the possibility to take ownership for your own deliveries. We encourage the employees to make the best use of their skills and ideas and offer coaching to realize your potential.
Who are you?
You have a strong inner drive and a genuine interest for analytics. A high sense of responsibility defines you and you can be trusted to deliver. You are a self-motivated person with a proactive attitude and enjoys working both independently and together in teams.
You also have:
- a master’s degree in mathematics, statistics or equivalent and will graduate this summer/ have recently graduated, or you have a few years of experience with analytical work
- have an interest in mathematic modelling, programming and data processing
