We are looking for a strong and engaged service owner to lead our team of highly motivated engineers who deliver core Payroll SaaS services for Visma Payroll systems running in Norway, Sweden and The Netherlands.

We deliver services hosted on AWS using DevOps via Visma's Cloud Delivery Model (VCDM). This is Visma's own recipe for service development, ensuring high quality while delivering value for the customers. 

As an engineering team lead you will work within an autonomous cross-functional team, and not only be responsible for the delivery of the services and team leadership, but also to actively promote how we work, and be involved in its continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a team of experienced engineers, through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development

• Delivery of high quality, secure and business-critical services, with end to end responsibility from backlog to deployment.

• Establish and maintain a prioritized product backlog and roadmap 

• Open and transparent communication with product owners and stakeholders to deliver value within agreed timelines, while maintaining expectations through trust.

• Evangelize modern, agile, and lean software development practices, while helping to develop a great collaborative engineering culture

• Continuous improvements to the working processes

• Ensure compliance with Visma standards for deliveries

Qualifications:

• Experience leading a product or project development team

• Leadership skills, as a coach and motivator

• Experience working in an agile team in Scrum or Kanban

• Good understanding of the software development process 

• Knowledge and/or experience in the HR or Payroll industry is an advantage

• Strong analytical problem-solving skills

• Highly developed interpersonal skills

• Collaboration skills enabling strong team spirit

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Bias to action, proactive & innovative by nature

• Strong attention to detail
